It is important as we begin each year to set out a few reminders about expectations that the youth ministry has for the families who participate in events throughout the year.
1. Turn in an emergency care form for each of your children. There was one sent home in a Christian Education/Youth Ministry mailing at the beginning of September. You can also find them on the desk in the narthex, or speak to Elizabeth.
2. If you sign-up, we expect to see you at the event! If not, we will make phone calls prior to beginning the event. You are still responsible for the cost*.
There are sign-up sheets on the youth bulletin board(s) in the hallway by the kitchen. Like ANY OTHER commitment our families make in our community, the ones to the youth ministry are just as important. If YOUR CHILD is signed up for an event (by the child or parent), please make sure you are able to attend the event.
3. The church has a written Child Protection Policy that each adult volunteer reads and signs at the beginning of each school year. This is in place to protect your child(ren), as well to provide guidelines for expected behavior from congregational leaders involved in youth ministry. If you are ever concerned about a situation, please call Elizabeth immediately at the church office.
